Carrie Gottlieb, Ph.D.
Carrie Gottlieb, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist at Clear Clinic. Dr. Gottlieb treats adolescents and adults struggling with skin picking disorders and self-esteem and body image disturbances related to acne and acne scars. In addition, Dr. Gottlieb is in fulltime private practice in Manhattan, specializing in the treatment of adults and adolescents with eating disorders and substance abuse issues. After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Gottlieb participated in postgraduate training at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the division of substance abuse. She later served as the director of the day treatment program at the Renfrew Center of New York, a center specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Gottlieb has received training in cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, relapse prevention, and DBT therapies. She completed postgraduate training at the William Alanson White Institute Eating Disorders, Compulsions, and Addictions program (EDCAS). Starting in the fall of 2011, Dr. Gottlieb joined the faculty of the EDCAS program as a member of the steering committee.
