What is the Clear Clinic?
The Clear Clinic is the first ever dedicated acne treatment center in the world. The Clear Clinic is solely devoted to the treatment of acne and acne scarring. It was developed by Dr. Eric Schweiger in order to provide his patients with acne and acne scars the best possible care.
Where is the Clear Clinic located?
The Clear Clinic is located at 110 East 55th Street in New York City. Additional locations are being planned.
Who will I be seeing during my Clear Clinic consultation?
We have two board-certified Physician Assistants who specialize in dermatology, particularly the treatment of acne and acne scars. All patients are initially seen by a physician assistant (PA) under the direct supervision of board certified dermatologist, Dr. Eric Schweiger.
What happens at my initial visit to Clear Clinic?
During the initial visit the PA first will assess your type of acne (example comedonal, inflammatory,cystic, etc…) and review past attempts at treatment. Then a comprehensive individualized plan will be formulated (“Clear Plan”) for you with the #1 goal of curing your acne or acne scars.
The Clear Plan will likely consist of a combination of different prescription acne medications, some which may be topical and/or oral medications. The Clear Plan always includes recommendations as to which face washes and moistures go best with your skin type and new prescription medications. The Clear Plan will often include recommendations of in office treatments for acne such as laser and light treatments, extractions and chemical peels.
What acne treatments are available at the Clear Clinic?
The acne specialists at the Clear Clinic will evaluate your skin and determine the most appropriate treatment regimen for you. We often prescribe prescription medications and at-home treatments in conjunction with in-office procedures, such as laser and light treatments and medical extractions.
What acne scar treatments are used at the Clear Clinic?
We have a variety of procedures available for the treatment of acne scarring. Once we evaluate your acne scars, we can determine the best treatment for you. We often recommend Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing, FAST laser resurfacing, Fraxel Laser Resurfacing, the KTP laser and chemical peels.
